I have to agree that Holly's stubborn refusal to see McFadden for what he was is troubling, to say the least. While it may very well have been a case of "love blindness," it's still hard to fathom.

No man who spent years in prison for sexually assaulting a minor is going to come right out and admit that he's a scumbag who preys on young girls. It's a shame that she couldn't see the red flags that her parents tried to bring to her attention.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, parents need to put the safety of their children ahead of their desire for a life partner. No victim blaming here, just good common sense.
