Self-proclaimed writer/director Samuel Haskell IV is a man who, up until recently, had it all. The son of one of Hollywood’s most respected power players, he lived a cushy life, thanks to his father’s success as a top executive at the esteemed William Morris Talent Agency. Even after the senior Mr. Haskell retired in 2005, the money train kept rolling as he transitioned to president of Magnolia Hill Productions.
While earning a degree in liberal arts at California State University, Northridge, Haskell IV fell head over heels for a strikingly beautiful coed named Mei Li. The two would eventually marry and become the proud parents of three sons. In 2020, the young family settled into a multi-million-dollar estate in Tarzana, an upscale suburb of Los Angeles.
While it may have appeared to the outside world as though thirty-five-year-old Haskell had it all, somewhere inside, a volcano was about to erupt. On Monday, November 6, 2023, the adult child of privilege who had been handed the golden ticket in life, is alleged to have killed his wife and her parents with a brutality that mimicked the slasher films he produced for his social media channels.
