Jarrell Bettis was born on July 23, 1953, in Quitman, Arkansas to doting parents, Floyd and Alline. After enduring years of infertility, the couple had been over the moon when they found out that a baby was on the way. Unfortunately for them, the child they had longed for would eventually become their worst nightmare.
The devoted pair had been nearing middle age when the tiny miracle made their family complete. The baby they thought they’d never have, instantly became the center of their universe. They spoiled him to such an extent in fact that he grew up believing that the world revolved around him, and in the Bettis household, it did.
