Singer/Songwriter Christina Grimmie was born on March 12, 1994, to proud parents Bud (Albert) and Tina in the suburb of Marlton, New Jersey. From the day she entered their lives, till the night she was snatched from this world in an unspeakable act of violence, she had been a ray of light that burned brighter than the sun.
A natural performer, Christina was singing as soon as she learned to speak. By the age of ten, she was a prodigy who could recreate melodies on the piano by ear. It was clear to everyone around her that she had a gift, even though she lacked the confidence to share her remarkable abilities with strangers.
At a friend’s urging, in 2009, fifteen-year-old Christina started posting videos of herself performing cover songs on YouTube. The material she chose to showcase her talent ranged from brooding Leonard Cohen tunes to the latest chart toppers by the likes of Justin Bieber. To her amazement, she was racking up thousands of views in no time.
With each new upload, Christina’s army of followers grew by leaps and bounds. Her bubbly personality, coupled with her undeniable vocal prowess, had drawn people to her like moths to a flame. While she had found the sudden attention a bit overwhelming at times, the teenager never failed to let…
