You've made some excellent points here. I can't imagine the courage it takes for a girl/woman to come forward after being victimized knowing full well that they are going to be raked over the coals, while the accused is all too often treated with kid gloves. I believe wholeheartedly in 'innocent until proven guilty,' but I don't believe that should equate to sullying the victim's reputation and making a concerted effort to ruin their life. What a mixed- up world we live in.
